FIFA World Cup 2010 FootBall Status

For the first time in FIFA World Cup history France, last year’s runners-up, has already returned home after their defeat on Tuesday. Now Italy will join them as the defending champions have miserably surrendered to debutants Slovakia in their Group Match on 25 June 2010. After this historic defeat, Italy coach Lippi has apologized and have said it was his failure. He told FIFA.com, “I assume complete responsibility for this failure. I was convinced this squad could do a lot better than that – not win the World Cup, but do a lot better. When a team goes into a match as important as this with fear in their confidence, it’s because the coach hasn’t prepared them well enough mentally, physically and tactically, but above all mentally.
