While Ajesh, who won the final of the Airtel Super Singer 2008 contest, is no doubt a very good singer possessing the ability of aesthetic and imaginative rendition of songs, I still feel that Ravi is a better singer, as he is far more talented and brought his sound technical virtuosity and breathtaking vocal ability into full play while singing difficult and complicated musical phrases. And it was all the more amazing that he combined these exploits with a sweet and melodic rendering of the songs as well. In my opinion and in the opinion of many discerning listners, Ravi surpassed all other contestants in terms of musical skill, vocal ability, perfection in rendition, aesthetic appeal, execution of challenging compositions and what not. His modesty of conduct on stage was an impressive additional quality. Ravi might not have won the title decided on the numerical strength of the votes of masses, but he is the winner in the minds of the numerous connoisseurs of music, who are generally inclined to appreciate good music in private and not to cast votes to elect good performers.

Ravi deserves it but unfortunately he didnt make it.. The result should have been first ravi, second renu and then ajesh..it was the other way round.. anyway congrats ajesh

sorry pals. I dont think so. Good thing Ravi did not win. He may be a good singer technically; but he is not a match winner. He is like rahul dravid; solid performer but not a crowd puller. Whereas singers like prasanna and ajesh are like sehwag and yuvraj singh.
Unless ravi changes his spectacles and his demeanour on the stage he will not win anything.
