World Suicide Prevention day

WALKATHON ORGANIZED BY SNEHA to mark World Suicide Prevention day September 10, each year has been commemorated as World Suicide Prevention Day by IASP (International Association for Suicide Prevention) and WHO (World Health Organization). To mark this occasion, SNEHA, a suicide prevention organization founded in 1986 is organising a WALKATHON on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at the Marina beach. The event will start at 7.30 AM and the distance to be covered will be 4 KM, from Gandhi statue, Marina, to the PWD Building and back through the inner road. You can support the event and show your solidarity for the cause by: registering to Walk or register participants from your organization or by sponsoring corporation school children to walk. Each walker gets a T-shirt, Participation certificate and goody bag absolutely free. A participation of 2000 walkers is expected. EVENT ...
