Chennai Sangamam, a street festival, unite all people around city irrespective of ethnicity to celebrate and enjoy the yearly occasion that happens around January 2nd week during Pongal festival. Chennai Sangamam is organized in prime locations around the city such as beach, parks, corporation grounds, colleges/schools and shopping malls, which was basically taken an idea from Bangaluru Habba Celebrations.
